ABOUT ME

Leadership Development Consultant, Coach and Trainer

Maeve Conroy founded Critical Points in 2007 to provide best practice Development, Coaching and HR Support to individuals and businesses at critical points along their career, work or organisational journey.


Maeve combines three unique skillsets in her business offering:


■ An educational background in Psychology which means that she brings a deep behavioural understanding to all that she encounters


■ Extensive organizational development and effectiveness understanding from working on both sides of “the fence”. She worked in-house in a senior HR capacity for many years with Diageo, in addition to consulting to many and varied businesses for the last 10 years as an independent consultant

■ A passion and energy for the growth and development of adult learners in the workplace both in 1:1 and in groups

With a MSc in Occupational Psychology from the Queens University of Belfast, Maeve is also a certified Career Coach, High Performing Teams Facilitator, Change Enabler and EQI/EQ360 practitioner.

A lifelong learner, she has recently graduated (2022) from Maynooth University with a Doctorate in Adult & Higher Education. This followed an in-depth 4-year examination of leadership development programme design & delivery with particular emphasis on pedagogic approach, the creation of knowledge and the role of power in the workplace "classroom". 


Maeve works with businesses large and small, local and international and has built a reputation for integrity, results, dedication and partnership of approach.


Her 1:1 and group-work is context driven, practical, learner-centred, relevant and outcome focused, ensuring organizational and personal success.

Our company has had the pleasure of working with Maeve Conroy of Critical Points for the past two years. Maeve has developed a bespoke Management Development Programme for our company and this has been a huge success and very beneficial for the development of our management team. We have covered a wide variety of areas such as Leadership, Creativity and Performance Appraisals to name but a few. Maeve has also delivered Quarterly offsite days for the team annually as well as standalone training days for smaller groups.
